De jonge Franse klavecinist Jean Rondeau beschrijft de Bach-familie als één van de grote dynastieën van de westerse muziek. Al eerder maakte Rondeau een geheel J.S.Bach album (Imagine). En dan nu het album Dynastie met ook muziek van drie van de tien zonen van de grote Bach.
Wilhelm Friedemann en Carl Philipp Emmanuel waren broers en Johann Christian was hun halfbroer. Ieder met zijn eigen kenmerkende muzikale persoonlijkheid. De werken van Carl Philipp Emmanuel soms innovatief van vorm en inhoud, terwijl Johann Christian meer de elementen van de Italiaanse stijl had aangenomen.
Hoogtepunten op dit album: Concerto No.1 van JS, Concerto in F van JC en het Concerto Wq.23 in D van C.Ph.E.
Rondeau speelt gedegen en legt daar waar nodig duidelijke accenten.
