Waxwork Records, in collaboration with Hollywood Records and Paramount Pictures, proudly presents the first-ever vinyl release of "Sleepy Hollow" Music From The Motion Picture by the acclaimed composer Danny Elfman. This 1999 gothic supernatural horror film, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, and Christopher Walken, draws inspiration from Washington Irving’s 1820 short story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The narrative follows police constable Ichabod Crane (Depp) as he is sent from New York City to the village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of murders committed by a mysterious Headless Horseman.

Danny Elfman, an award-winning American film composer, singer, and songwriter, is renowned globally for his contributions to over 100 feature film scores. As a long-time collaborator with Tim Burton, Elfman has scored numerous iconic films, including Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The Sleepy Hollow soundtrack is one of Elfman's most significant orchestral works, featuring a robust combination of weighty brass, eerie choral elements, and unnerving strings. The romantic themes woven throughout the score provide a calming contrast to the dark and mysterious gothic fairy-tale atmosphere.
