Oorspronkelijk uitgebracht in oktober 1985, en direct na de wereldwijde hit '(Don't You) Forget About Me', bleek 'Once Upon a Time' het album te zijn dat Simple Minds naar ongekende hoogten van artistiek en commercieel succes stuwde. Met de klassieke hitsingles 'Alive and Kicking', 'All the Things She Said', 'Sanctify Yourself' en 'Ghostdancing' is het originele, tijdbepalende nummer 1-album nu verkrijgbaar in deze boxset van 5 cd's. Bonusdiscs bevatten een schat aan extra nummers, waaronder de originele en uitgebreide versies van '(Don't You) Forget About Me', single edits, 12" mixen, B-kanten, niet eerder uitgebrachte nummers en het 2-disc 'Live in The City of Light'-concert.
