Prince is een visionair artiest, maar helemaal uit de lucht vallen kwam hij ook weer niet. Het Numero label dook in de geschiedenis van de Minneapolis sound en vond een schat aan materiaal die de combinatie van dance, funk en soul langzamerhand vorm gaven. Prince’s eerste bassist Andre Cymone is hier aanwezig met een vroege demo, terwijl ook Morris Day in een vroege incarnatie van The Time al bezig was om zijn vorm te vinden. Mooie geschiedenisles.
