Een brug slaan tussen electronica en pop, dat is de specialiteit van Jimmy Tamborello. Dat deed hij al heel mooi onder de naam Dntel en dat doet hij ook met The Postal Service. Hierin zorgt Tamborello voor de machines en Ben Gibbard van Death Cab for Cutie voor de vocalen.
